New Windows 10 build makes taking screenshots easier

Microsoft has launched its latest Windows 10 Insider Preview Build, bringing changes to the operating system’s screenshot system.

Windows Screen Sketch is now a standalone application and is no longer part of the Windows Ink workspace.

easier? what?

if i press print screen now, it saves a screenshot. how much easier than that could it be. lol

surely it should say editing screenshots is easier, not taking them..

So that is the only thing they could think of with this new release?Yeah leave out the part about the Focus Gaming assist.

I often don't want the entire screen. MacOS does it right. Snipping tool is good but lacks some features.

Been having this for years with free add-ons.

I used to use Snaggit for my office work till our IT got snippy about unapproved TP software. The Snippy thing is like going back to a land before time :/

Snaggit is awesome. I use it to as a ‘third-party’ capture tool.

I would use it for office work in a heart beat. Try cutting segments from policy wording or legislation, cropping unnecessary bits out, highlighting important aspects and commenting in it with Snippy  <-- the  face is for my IT if you're reading this post

Snagit is more than a capture tool, it is a productivity booster. It is beneficial…

Maybe I can motivate it to IT. I have a paid-for version that I am not using. Thanks for the response :)

Alt+print screen for window.
Why can't they just bind it to shift-print screen? Don't think that has anything bound to it yet.

A nice windows feature to have: the ability to set your own keybindings.

Won't need those 'new' features. Bought Camtasia and Snagit and works great for me. Before Snagit I used ShareX to capture parts of the Screen. The plus with Snagit is capturing quick videos of selected area and convert it to GIF.

I find the built in snippit tool very handy, got it pinned to my taskbar.

I used to find it handy. If you have One note, setup the screenshot shortcut. Then al it takes is windows button + shift + s select the part of the screen you want and it goes straight to clipboard.

I use Greenshot and wont be needing this, happy with what i already got
