Hawks bust one of their own

A Hawks warrant officer is in hot water after he was arrested for conspiracy to commit a cash-in-transit heist and other crimes.

Petrus Doctor Nkosi, 53, attached to the Hawks' serious organised crime investigation unit, was arrested by his own colleagues on Monday for various crimes including armed robbery, money laundering, defeating the ends of justice and unauthorised use of a state vehicle.

When people look at how this bunch prospered, is it any wonder that they all want to get in on the act? Suspension usually lasts several years with no charges ever being laid.

Bheki Cele was found by Public Protector Thuli Madonsela to have acted unlawfully in the acquisition of police lease space in a deal that was worth R1.7 billion.

Berning Ntlemeza was found by a judge to lack integrity and honour but carried on drawing a salary until September 2017 when he was retired. Mbalula wished Ntlemeza well.

Richard Mdluli (head of crime intelligence) was suspended & dismissed in January 2018.

The whole ethos of the ANC has been to rip off the system at every level while protecting each other's backs.
