Telkom website shows users “Hello World”

MyBroadband Forum members have spotted that Telkom’s website is not working as it should.

If you access the website using the URL – http://telkom.co.za/ – you are presented with a plain white page, with the words “Hello World” at the top.

I'm guessing someone pointed their wildcard dns entry for the domain to the wrong server or they just deleted the default doc that had a .js redirect or something silly like... um... reinstalled the OS... and subsequently forgot it was actually in use.

They probably just upgraded a Windows cloud instance.

So Telkom has been hacked and they're completely oblivious to the fact. They're too busy complaining that the duopoly of Vodacom & MTN is unfair to notice it. Figures...

Yes, the redirect is sorted now, though opening http://telkom.co.za in notepad reveals the file is still there.
Funny enough, if I open FF and enter telkom.co.za into the address box, I still get hello world. Chrome redirects.
