Ok, here it is. "NeoPing" version 0.3 Beta. :o

Apparently Neotel Disconnects when the PC & Connection is idle.

NeoPing will keep your connection alive with pinging, and keeping your mouse alive as well - this is useful for users that need to keep the connection going for downloads or remote access

It moves the mouse when idle for X amount of seconds, and it pings google after every X amount of seconds. you can change the second values to any value you want and it keeps the setting in the registry so it will remember them too!

Please report back whether your connections are kept alive by NeoPing please!

NOTE: When you start it up, it automatically minimizes to the systemtray next to your time/etc. you can click on it's icon to open it up, and configure it, etc...

WHoooa flippen cool..... will test tomorrow, on DSL atm since the line speeds of Neotel in Cape Town CBD are crap atm :)

Thanx PC Direct, heh - I don't have Neotel so it should work in theory - we need to find out.

if it works, i'll continue to better it in time.

Ok, forgot to say, when you start it it automatically minimizes to the systemtray next to your time/etc. you can click on it's icon to open it up, and configure it, etc...

ah thanks for reminding me killa! it should work on all from win95 up to win7, but let's test it just to make certain - It does work fine on XP though :D

So even if you don't use neotel, it would be great if anyone can test it with Vista / Windows 7 :)
 
Yea it works on windows 7, cool i am going to use this to windows 7 from sleeping and not downloading over-night :p

This program will check it from sleeping right?

well, it will stop your screensaver (with the Simulated mouse movements) so it should stop it from logging off, disconnecting, sleeping, etc...

It's as if you were sitting there moving the mouse every 2 damn minutes :D

hey, the pinging should work for all Internet connections actually....maybe i should change the name hehe..

Yea perfect nothing like going to bed with 25 gb's waiting for download and you wake up to find 1 gb done and your unable to wake your pc haha.

hey , great app - ithink the name has gotta change though. Something more generic but outstanding will do.
