Coffee can shrink the size of women’s boobs, shock research revealed yesterday.
While caffeine may shrink women’s breasts, the reaction is the reverse for coffee-slurping blokes – it can make their “moobs” swell.
Cr@p. Lets hope the Swedish scientists are idiots and read their test results upside-down.

Thats just the thing

TOO MUCH OF ONE THING HAS ADVERSE AFFECTS

End of story... too much cocaine = death. Too much Coca Cola = death

Coincidence? I THINK NOT

There is no such thing as coincidence, only the illusion of coincidence!

Of course. But the article doesn't say "Fatal amounts of coffee...". It talks about 3 cups+. Thats 600ml-750ml of coffee depending on whose measure of "cup" you use. Way more than I drink, but there are people who manage 1.5l without breaking a sweat.

Yes but you have to consider the demographics.

If you take into account the obesity rates (and growth) in the last few years an average amount of 3 cups of coffee a day combined with poor diet and no exersize would OBVIOUSLY cause this. Don't you agree?

Only three cups of coffee? I have at least 3 cups of coffee a day for I don't know how many years...

You're probably right...but the article doesn't mention diet.;) Who knows, maybe the researchers compensated for diet/exercise/socio-economic background.:p

Coffee is a diuretic.
Any diuretic shrinks breasts.
Sounds like a fairly solid theory....but the article indicated that the effect is only seen in people with a certain gene marker, while diuretics affect everyone.

lols. Here I am defending an article which I sincerely hope is flawed.:o Anyway I'm off to make coffee...screw the researchers.

Even with the man-jubblies we're still more manly than tea drinkers. :p

While in school and until about 5 years after school I used to slug 3+ litres a day of the (true) nectar of the gods. Nowadays I take it easy. I drink between 3 and 5 cups a day.

I'm also 6'3 and weigh 110 so I think it also depends on your body. I never really get the whole recommended daily allowance and all that. How can the same recommendation work for a 110kg guy and a 50kg chick? Makes no sense!

I seriously doubt that.

#1 rule of convincing people you're right is not to give them all the facts and make it sound like you know everything

Blah blah blah :) Every few months they reveal some new contradictory discovery about coffee that only leaves you more confused that the previous 3 months. Today it's good for you. December it's bad.

you mean, like this? ;) :

For instance, research published in 2002 in the European Journal of Neurology indicated that people who consumed more caffeine in midlife may be giving themselves some protection from developing Alzheimer’s later in life. In another study, researchers from the Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute found that caffeine intake equal to five cups of coffee a day for humans protects mice against memory impairments.

Most recently, the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition published a study on coffee and Alzheimer’s disease in its August 2006 issue. This study, which was conducted over a 10-year period and included 600 elderly men, found that those who drank caffeine regularly experienced a much smaller decline in their mental abilities than non-coffee drinkers.

I'd rather have large (or small) boobs, and have a reduced risk from Alzheimer's ....
