I am just making an observation not a statement here...so judge for yourself
I have been waiting for ICASA just to respond to a query; with a so called reference number; for over two years! It is my perception that there are probably more Telkom share holders within ICASA; than in Telkom itself. I fail to see how an unbiased or reasonably fair response could be expected, the so called adjudicators have in my view probably, got their own self interest at heart (probably their share value).
ICASA's so called victories are a little bit pathetic and looks more like manufactured attempts at appeasing and appearing to be acting on behalf of consumers in the telecoms industry. When will ICASA actually ever start doing something?
I can't use my cell phone, my pc, or my landline without paying Telkom somewhere and now that seems to be the case with the new SNO, I would rather never see Telkom get any cent from me ever anywhere, ever, ever again, instead Telkom have weaselled into every little corner, of the telecoms industry. I choose to be rid of this evil...
Freedom of choice - I choose to never ever have to make use of any Telkom services anywhere, or any portion, or any association that are associated with Telkom, it is my right to have an option to do this, yet I am being denied by the games ICASA has been playing for years.
Do ICASA have any authority at all, or do they sit and piddle with the Telkom legal fraternity all day.
It is also high tide that Telkom is represented by court appointed attorneys only, the same rights they afford the general consumer. ICASA and Telkom appear to be rather close bedfellows…
So good luck with ICASA the names of the so called people that will assist you in ICASA; that appear on these forum pages; are the same as those that promised me two years ago, that they will follow up and attend to my query, and have not done so yet!
So as I said don’t hold your breath expecting ICASA to actually do anything it might jeopardise the Telkom share prise.
Sorry ICASA, it has been two years and still you are doing nothing about my query....and as for representing the consumer, if Dotco can do this, then it only serves to demonstrate how little ICASA does, once again fast asleep and of no real consumer value.. It takes little Dotco to do something while the mighty ICASA slumbers…
Maybe ICASA itself is one of the biggest stumbling blocks and just , a sly deviation to pacify the masses...
Just the stupid observations, ramblings and musings of a man driven mad by the Telkom villains…so ICASA please don’t be offended too much, rather try sorting out that backlog on the queries…your opinions and actions don’t really seem to make a difference in any case in the Telecoms industry.
