I seem to remember a similar post to this before...

Using the vlive apn I can get online free..
First of all, vlive had never worked for me till recently, I was using vlive on my cellphone for the first time a couple of days ago, when I noticed that I could access sites outside of vlive...
So just to test I set my data card to use the vlive apn and voila! it connected...
Just to make sure I downloaded the latest version of my favorite Linux game: BzFlag (approx 10 MB) and sure enough it never cost a cent (albeit very very slow).. :D
I'm on a prepaid sim-card btw.. and when I initiated the download I was at R2.31.. I'm still on R2.31 (not even enough to down 10MB anyway  )...

Interesting thing is, this is not the same sim-card as my cellphone so it can't just be a fluke...

V3G: You may want to get the vlive guys to check whats going on - but dont' hurry about it ;)
btw V3G, did you recieve my PM recently?

redarrow I have noticed the same thing with vlive I can do a lot of stuff for free and my bro needs to pay for it with his mtn phone.

hey on my old phone... before it shorted i downloaded lots for free... connected to my PC... my new phone has free internet from the phone browser but when i connect it to the computer it charges.

Funny thing is, that was free also up till about 2 months ago.
Pity I have ethics (sort of), otherwise I would have had a lot of fun :D

I want the simcard you got cause when I do that, it just says either "You are not authorized to view this page" or just stays blank.
Funny thing is I have two simcards one in my phone and one in my data card...
I can browse free on the phone and the PC - i.e free with either simcard..
(although I haven't tried swopping them)

Anyone intrested in a uncapped 24/7 vodacom simcard? Going cheap! R10,000.00 :D

hmm... maybe it only works on Linux :p

lol, redarrow you got something we dont have then, just wondering why you so quick to get rid of it =/ If I had uncapped internet for free as you say I would shutup about it. lol ^^ but then thats me... maybe I am not such a ethical person as ajax. ^^

You are one luckly guy redarrow.

Well... seeing as I only get GPRS speeds on it, it'll take a long time to add up to 10 Grand  besides I have two simcards remember? :D

It probably won't last long anyway... specially seeing as I've just blurted it out

My phone doesn't do anything free:( would suck if someone from vodacom read this and fixed it:D haha

lol, my Telkom line now does things for free ^^ hehe... got Telkom Closer... Unlimited Off-Peak and 1000 Peak

Just confirmed that this is working on both my simcards... :D
My first three posts were done from my laptop via my data card via my second sim via vlive...
This post is being done from my desktop via bluetooth via my cellphone via vlive.

Both are costing nothing :D

It's rather weird really... I mean what are the odds that I have two simcards allowing me to do this?

Better shut up now, before it stops working :D

yeah me thinks so 2... dont tell them which tower you at lol, could be your tower, or region? ;)

Damn!! Now you've gone and told them!! Be prepared for the loopholes to be closed very soon...

lol... at some stage last year I also had free internet, but with MTN using the MMS profile, wasnt that fast tho

If you have like R10 on your MTN simcard, and you just download, you dont get cut until you actually disconnect or so I have seen, I tried it once and only got 50MB after I hit R0.00 balance - my connection just went inactive. =/
