Ordering US version of World of Warcraft

For those that want to buy a US version of WoW or game cards can get it from me. As easy as a deposit into my standard bank account. You can place an order on woworder.webhop.net . If telkom behaves, using the socks server will most time get you a 700ms ping to US day and night as you go over an unshaped port.

Here are some FAQ's:

1). No this is not for cracked servers. If you want to play on those servers go find them, come back here when you want the real thing.



2). First month is free with purchase of US game



3). After that you can use your SA mastercard (I heard visa works too) to pay $15/month online on blizzards website.



4). If you do not have a credit card, you can buy game time, but it is more expensive, from a few people, including myself.



5). You also get a 10 day guest account cd key to give your friend. He can play for 10 days, and if he likes it, he can buy a game and punch in his cd key and continue playing.



6). Also some live ppl on irc. snow.shadowfire.org #wow channel (including me) who can help



7). It is playable on isdn/adsl, even 56k I heard. I dont have any so don't hold me too that.



8. A US account can not play on EU servers. There is not really much difference between ping times, and I believe more south african ppl are on US server.



9). From best guess, it *may* be released in SA at the end of the year. There will NEVER be local sa servers.

How to play wow in South Africa

Hi guys

I've been playing wow for a few months now and so have a lot of my friends. It's very simple...

Go to www.gamersloot.com and purchase an account, it will cost approx $49 (with this you will receive 30 days free)

They will phone you to confirm that you have indeed made a purchase to buy a wow account (so give a phone number where you can be reached 24/7)

They will email you a scanned copy of the cd with the key you need to activate your wow account. This is completely ligit (it's for those countries like us where we cannot get copies of wow)

I have 2 guilds, both on USA servers: Draka (Normal) and Balnazzar (PVP)

As far as bandwidth is concerned well you got NOTHING to worry about - You will use +/- 200mb a month of your bandwidth cap (and this includes downloading new patches)

Once you have activated your account you will need to go to the 'my accounts' section of www.worldofwarcraft.com to update your details for the monthly payment for $14.99 - This payment is so worth while as Blizzard are constantly upgrading and making changes to the game even as you are playing it.

Every Tueday the server goes down from 1pm to 6pm South African time for maintenance.

To download the game itself is easy - this is freely available off the internet.

PS, this game is very much playable even on a dail up account. Yes there will be moments with lag, but the game itself makes up for it - there is NOTHING ON EARTH like WOW

I would like to add that it is VERY important to get into a SA guild so that when you get to level 60 you can raid at normal GMT times.

And gamerloot sells the game for $59.95 without a 10 day guest pass to give to a friend. If you would like that it is an additional $7 (which they actually take out the box that you buy).

And then if you do have problems creating the account (You need a credit card or a 60 day game card) they will charge you an additional $9

BTW if you do buy it through me you get the 10 day guest pass, and I will use my credit card to create it if you have a problem with getting a credit card. Also some people think it is easier to deposit into a standard bank account.

Ok, for a while now I've been working on a website as a home for South African world of warcraft players...

It's almost complete..95% fully functional, however there are still lotsa things I can add. But for now lets get a community together - cos that's what we need. These random posts all over the net on obscure forums ain't cool
