Pretoria - Murdered 19-year-old ballerina and Vodacom meerkat Moitia dancer, Esteé van Rensburg, was to have joined her parents at the KKNK in Oudtshoorn on Thursday.
Instead, Koos and Linda van Rensburg got the shocking news that she'd been found semi-naked, raped and murdered on their her parents' bed at their Faerie Glen, Pretoria home on Wednesday morning.

She had been shot in the head.

"My child is dead. She was my baby," said a weeping Van Rensburg.

Her last SMS, which she had sent to her parents on Sunday, read: "Di son het vandag uitgekom wat beteking nuwe lewe... JESUS het vandag opgestaan ... Prys di HERE ... Veilig ry vdag. Lief vi julle baja! Mwa". ("The sun came out today which means new life... JESUS rose today... Praise the LORD... Drive safely today. Love you lots! Mwa)

Esteé's body was found by Irene Molefe, 50, when she arrived for work.

Molefe said that when she arrived at the house, she unlocked the gate and walked around the house.

"I was about to unlock the door when I saw that the sliding door was half open."

Like a doll

"I walked in and shouted: 'Morning, Esteé! I'm here!'

"The fridge was standing wide open.

"Then I peered into the garage and saw that her car wasn't there.

"I started shouting, ' Esteé! Esteé!'

"When I looked into her parents' room, I saw her lying on the bed like a doll and there was a pillow over her face."

Molefe said she had got a huge fright and ran to the neighbours across the road for help.

"I've never seen anything like that," she told Beeld, crying.

Nathan Mowatt, 19, the neighbour's son, went to investigate.

He said: "I drew the curtains to one side and then I saw it was Esteé who was lying on the bed."

Always laughing

They immediately phoned the police and his mother phoned Esteé's parents in Oudtshoorn with the news.

Nathan said Esteé was an exceptional person.

"She always had a bounce in her step, was always laughing and was the happiest person I knew.

"I saw her a week ago, but we just waved to one another.

"I now wish I had chatted to her a little then," he said.

Captain Julia Claassen said that a television, a computer and Esteé's silver Toyota Tazz (registration number NNS 243 GP) had been stolen.

Her handbag, cellphone, her mother's jewellery and other valuable items in the house had not been taken.

This makes me sick. My Girlfriend/Fiance' 's name is Estee. And her mom lives in Lynwood. I got a fright when I heard it on the radio.

All them ppl "positive about SA" should go and spread their good cheer to this poor girls parents.

Whoever did it is probably planning there next rape,murder as we speak with absolutely no worries of getting caught.
 
I try to be positive, but I cannot imagine how you talk hope into people whose loved ones were slaughtered.

Maybe some posters can give us ideas.

I think that happens to a family member and positive goes out the window. On 702 yesterday afternoon ppl were swearing at the DJ because he said he cannot imagine living in a country where civil people turn to violence because the police are non-existent and inbred. (I added the last bit) .

Unfortunately its every man for himself here. Somebody goes anywhere near the GF, my mom or other semi-involved family members and I wont hesitate to put holes in them. Not even a doubt in my mind.

The DJ's comment is RETARDED. By implication he is saying that he CAN imagine living in a country where criminals do what they want and police cannot and do not interfere. How interesting that he can accept living like that ....

Yup, he took some fire there. All these radio personalities being charged with keeping the FM positive are full of it. Honesty and morality are two words that cannot be used in the same sentence as SA.

Not really funny... just sick. Like a slow genocide or something. Someone should do some social research on this, would be interesting to know the rates at which people are killed Brits vs. Afrikaans, Afrikaans vs. Zulu, etc.

Hardly. Everybody is a target. Just cause you don't hear about it happening so often to coloureds, indians or blacks or even non-afrikaner whites doesnt mean it doesn't happen to them.

What about foreigners and/or foreign exchange students? I never stop hearing of them getting taken to a township somewhere for a party and getting gang raped, and going straight back to their country. Most dont even get convictions. Which retarded people are willingly taking White foreign woman into townships and expecting them not to get gang raped? Why dont you talk them out of going with? Its obviously a sht idea! Those people piss me off, look at the fkn stats. Just cause you aren't a racist or a rapist doesn't mean everyone your colour isn't.. Its only too obvious its going to happen. You take these people into town ships and then leave them alone long enough to get gang raped!!!!????


Thats like me inviting a black girl to a kkk party, leaving her alone with them for an hour and expecting everything to go swimmingly.

Um ya.. Thats who I AM. I highly doubt the young white foreign females hold the same convictions as me. Afterall I idolize school shooters, have never been in a meaningful and loving relationship, have never liked my own family, and enjoy fantasizing about my own death/suicide. Death means nothing to me and my belief system. Death is better than life! But im sure most people dont agree with me. So I guess that means the point you were trying to make just kinda gets shot in the face right there. Oh well..
