First of all, when is Voda getting the N95 (or actually when are WE getting the N95 from Voda) ?

One more thing, any chance the phone will be available on a data contract? Cos like free minutes and talk packages, who uses them anymore... WE WANT DATA, 3G, HSDPA AND BEYOND!!

Idea for VODA: Give away N95 Free on a 1GB contract ;)

I was told that in April!!! Surprisingly it's now April but still nothing from Voda!!!

I have a feeling that it's not the Service Providers that dont get the phones out but Nokia can't supply it yet.

Most other countries had a global launch on the 2nd of April but it looks like we are not part of it.

Are you sure they're going to get it? Last year I wanted the E70 and since Oct they are saying next month, I got mine via MTN last year Nov already.

I really really really want this phone.

My upgrade is ready in May, but I can only cancel in um.. like "Contract end date: 14/09/2007"

So.... I want to move to Vodacom Service Provider away fromo Nashua Mobile.

Maybe I can get that N95 on Talk 120 near that time? Who thinks thats possible :D

You will definately get it on a T120! You might have to pay in a little!:p
Voda will definately release the N95.

It's selling for R9 999 on that site.
You can buy a top of the range PC for that price.

Yes, you can buy a "almost top of the range" PC for that price. But then you have to ask yourself the following questions:

Does the PC have built-in GPS?
Does it have a 5MP Camera?
Does it have a built-in HSDPA modem?
Can you use it to make phone calls without buying seperate hardware?
Is it portable to carry around with you everywhere you go?

I can't wait for MTN to call me and tell me the phone is available. I must have it. Its everything the N80 is and more.

That will also be my next phone (N95),Piesang are you taking out another contract for the N95,you only have your N80 since Dec 2006?

No, I have 5 MTN contracts. 2 that I use, 2 that my wife use and one that I use with my data card. So this is actually my wifes contract that is due for upgrade now but she's happy with the phone she uses at the moment.

So I'm lucky enough to get the new upgrade phone now.:D

The N95 is here, available for outright purchase or contract on www.eXactmall.co.za. Get a R 1000 off, pm for voucher.

what contract? ... please tell

I would also like to know which contract?....

edit: i see the price has come down there as well R9700, i think this means this phone is just about released :)

$750 = R5358.75

So why in the first place would they charge R10000+ for a cash price??

It's ridiculous.

What i find disturbing is that an independant provides like exactmobile can manage to make the phone available whereas to two mighty cellphone providers can't...

And their story of insufficient stocks doesn't gel either, surely someone with Vodacom's might would have better access to phones than Exactmobile...

I've been due for an upgrade since Jan, but hell, i'm getting tired of all the stories now... Just bring out the phone man!

OK, I've figured out why we pay so much for phones. Check below:
Nokia N95 = R5358.75
Economy Class Plane Ticket from London Heathrow to Jhb Tambo International = +- R5000.00
TOTAL = R10358.75

Please note, plane ticket for N95 from Finland to England not accounted for so we actually getting the phone at a discounted rate!!! ;)

PUHLEEEEEZZZ!!! :(
