I think its time for some congratulatios.
I have been using openwebs 10GB vpn account now since they launched it like 2 months ago and it rocks!

I use it mainly for p2p (linux distro's ;)

I save like R200 per month and it works, so im happy!

Mrbeep, you are my hero. Will you marry me ?

ps I think Mrbeeps wife must have like so much bandwidth to use they probably never go out!! jk!

hehehehe!

Although it's a lot faster and uses less total bandwidth (p2p involves sharing and seeding....) to go the ftp or http route. For Linux I mean ;)

The only mayor issue I have with this is that there is no Linux alternative, otherwise I would have joined.

I use ONLY Linux.

+1 for this package.

Had a bit of trouble setting it up to work on a network because my router did not support the technology. Openweb was very helpful in sorting me out with a new router and I am very happy with the service.

From a WoW point of view - latency is better than my old package from Cybersmart. But 10 gigs at that price is a real winner. It is so nice to be able to breath again on the internet without getting capped and having to purchase additional gigs.

Very good value for money.

Problem is its only 512k? i have a 2.5mb line and ill only b able to download at 50kb.. kinda sucks but maybe it will make the cap last longer :P

damm im paying R490 for my 10gig , how do i get this for R349???

"I have been using openwebs 10GB vpn account"

So go read about it on their site, I'm sure signup isn't too hard. :p

It's actually making me think of downgrading to 512 and getting this account, it's a huge saving.

I see there's also 10Gb for only R299 at 384kb.

So I have a telkom ADSL line, can I cancel my telkom cap and just get this openweb thing?

Thing is I need to keep my telkom email...

You CAN use it with Linux - Ever heard of "pptpclient" for Linux - I use it on FreeBSD with great success.

Hey all
Finally, someone ahs experience with the product.
So many people have been asking about it, but no-one seemed to have used it.
What are the speeds like? Are they constant and don't drop a lot in peak usage?
Also, how good is the latency compared to normal shaped?
I have a 384 line, and I see that they have a 384 service now, is there any reason not to get it?

Thanks a lot guys ;)

Bump, can someone who uses it give us some speed test results and pings to international and local?
Thanks
