I cant go above 20kb per second on international.

If I download a lot of stuff it caps at 20-22 kb per second and then stuff like MSN,Google Talk etc time out. i.e there is some limit somewhere of 20kb probably.

Weird!

Slowww!!

Hi All

Is it just me or is has the Internet come to a grinding halt - On my 4Mb line I'm getting max 10kb?

Blady well done SAIX...you guys just know how to mess things up. I have an IS account as well which does not seem to be any better - anyone else on IS?

My biggest concern is that SAIX apparently is not aware of any International connectivity problems. I thought I'd give them a call on 0800 222 772 just now to find out...there's also nothing on their noticeboard about this issue. ISP's, please help!!!

Bah i was wondering why my diginet in EL is runnign so slowly today, oh well.

still very bad for me. Dunno if its only me over here? 20kb max on like many over 50 peer to peer connections. Same problem as yesterday!

Mr.G I share your pain man. Don't know what the bladdy hell is going on. Where are you in the country?

Hi Mr.G, seems like it's a CT problem - I phoned Telkom on 0800 375375 and selected the desktop support option. Somehow the line got reset to 107Kbps (Guys said sometimes this happens during maintenance) and they did a reset to 4MB. Had to hold on for 50 minutes though...my line seems to be back at 4mb speeds again.

Cheers

benitok, you mean 3.14Mb - that would be about right...but I doubt it's 314Mb :D
