From late last night as soon as I kick off a Rapidshare download my Neotel connection disconnects. I thought it might have been a particular file but it's doing it with all files. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

I have also been experiencing this problem since last night. Hope they fix it soon

I have the same problem. Last night was fine, this morning anything I do that causes my speed to exceed approx. 500kbps for anything more than a few seconds causes my connection to drop. I can't even complete a speed test.

I too, have the same issue! Rapidshare starts, a few minutes later the line drops!?! Any thoughts as to why its doing this?

Neotel is a piece of ****.
Had it for 3 months and fastest ever speed been 130 kb/s, mostly averaging 40 kb/s!!!
Constant disconnects, they have a lot of DNS problems, useless customer service.
Telkom looks like a worldclass 5 star company compared to these loosers.

I will cancell my contract coming week and go back to telskum - at least there you can surf the web

I recon its pretty simple, you are breaking a badly designed network by having a high throughput!
Oh noez!!!! and they though wireless would work.... FAIL!!!

I have that same problem :(. I called in and apparently there's a problem with the network - temporary problem and who knows when it's gonna be sorted out.

I'm eating humble pie here - iBurst 10gig capped FTW @ this mo.

I was also experiencing terrible speeds but I restarted my device and all is back to normal - seems like its sorted. Give it another try.
Am currently donwlaoding from RapidShare @ 100kB/s files size = 125MB

Ok, will try...again, cos when i got to my pc this morning the devise was 'messed' up. The screen was all funny and I took out the battery and power supply, restarted pc, etc. And nothing changed :(

So ja, will give it another shot, shot....hmmmm proly shoot this f@%&^%$n device before the day's over

Restarting didn't work for me. Was finally able to do a speedtest, but downloads are still causing disconnects.

Update: 'We don't know when the network will be up, it it something we working on, don't know what time today.'

Damn :(. This is strange cos apparently no technical staff work over weekends, so this could be for the entire weekend. I logged a 'trouble' ticket last night I was told that they'll respond within 48 hours, so i'll get a call on Monday and I wouldn't be able to do anything cos I'll be @ work :(.

I think I'll do my dloads this weekend on my 1gig iburst account, never mind @ 64k - @ least I know it's dloading.

Neotel will fix it's bandwith issues with a simple ban on the RapidSh-te IP range. ;)

I've noticed its not only rapidshare, I get disconnects from Megaupload, torrents, anything as soon as a download starts

Since about 12 any download that reaches about 1MB gets disconnected, even loading a page with large pics gets a disconnect.
