Vote: 30gig local only with openbrowse 192???

Is any1 interested in an openweb "10gig local only" + openbrowse 192 ?? Or "30 gig local only" + openbrowse 192 ??

This package would save us money because previously we would have to buy a 2gig int + 28 gig local + openbrowse 192.. for R229

However the 2 gig int would be wasted because it only counts for the initial 2 gig of traffic. So if you first download 4 gig of local then you will have ZERO international traffic allowed, except for international surfing via openbrowse. The main price factor is INTERNATIONAL bandwidth and by removing this we should theoritically have a cheaper package!!! 10gig local + international surfing up to 30 gig @ 192k... Or sumthing like that, this is up to MrBeep to decide... :)

10 gigz local currently costs R119... so we would just need to add openbrowse to the equation.

We need sum support here as MrBeep is considering this as an option...

I cant see how it would be cost effective, as i said before... The 10 gig local is way overpriced as it is at R119...

"2gig int + 28 gig local + openbrowse 192 @ R229.00"
OR
"2gig int + 28 gig local @ R171.00"

I am happy. Not going to vote for another package.

Duelmeister, 30 gigz is definetly a better idea especially if it included openbrowse!

RazorSA,

What difference does it make as to how many options are availably?
You choice which1 suited you,

All types of organisms survive because of the diversity of the ocean! Let internet have the same thriving effect!

Seriously, I think that 30 gigz local + openbrowse 192 would be an awsome package...! 2gig/28gig + openbrowse is currently R229! It would be so much cheaper if the 2gig int was replaced with local..!

The 2 gigz are already wasted as they are used up in the initial 2gigz of traffic regardless of wheather it is local or international..

Thats the spirit! When we've got enough support i'll let MrBeep know..

Although, i'm sure he's found his way here by now!

I think this is where we are getting it wrong. I have a feeling the local only gigs arent fully included in the price but added as an incentive over the SAIX accounts. Im saying this because local was always free until Nov1 (well, on SAIX accounts anyhow). So basically trying to calculate a per gig price for local only using the pricing we have is useless. This is why we come up with ridiculous conclusions over Mr BEEP's local only offer.

Trust me, IS (and SAIX pre 1 nov) knows our usage patterns. They would be stupid not to reliase how the "extra local" has changed our usage patterns. We've found ways to do our stuff local so when we have the 2/3 gb int we blow alot (if not most of it) on local content thus saving them alot of money

Good point Turbo,

But that still doesn't mean that we must loose all hope..! Let us atleast try and make prices better... So what do you say: Yes or No, to 30 gigz local + openbrowse 192 ??

I agree with guang!

2gig/28gig + openbrowse 192 = R229

R229 - 149 = R80 saved because of removed international traffic!

Lets not be too hard on MrBeep, as he is already extremely competitive!

Can someone please explain to me why the international 3 gig cap is affected by local usage? If it's not possible to distinguish for whatever reason, the alternative as mentioned by someone else here, would be to have 2 accounts, one has the 3gig int bandwidth and the other has 27gigs of local. And I can't think of any reason why seperating it into 2 accounts should cost more if the contents are actually the same.

The way it is now, with the precious int bandwidth being taken up by unavoidable local usage is fcking bullsh1t.

Yes, wud be cool.. but at a price i can afford some extra SAIX with it.. id totally go for a package like this:

30GB local + proxy + 1gb saix with carryover for R250
