384k Uncapped with SAOL @ R499 (Includes ADSL line rental)

This is uncapped, including a mailbox, on Seacom cable, one login, as it includes the Telkom ADSL line rental.

Now you all know that the line rental from telkom is R152 , so for R347 , you are getting uncapped , unshaped bandwidth. There are NO threshholds, NO limitations and NO restrictions, NO contracts, NO setup fee.

YES to uncapped, YES to unlimited, and YES , and YES and YES, we want you to signup and put us to the test.

Signup and stand a chance to win 3 months FREE. Because we know that this time of the year, you want to SAVE money.

Happy downloading....:)

This is looking promising. It would be nice to have guaranteed 384k uncapped as apposed to burstable 256k uncapped. And only R47 more expensive than DigiChilli. Now we must just see how the two perform head to head and from there we can decide.

damn ... who's gonna jump in next....

I have now my old iBurst (on my one month notice now), a Digichilli trial account plus a screamer 384 uncapped account. Somebody needs to test this, I can't too many for me now!

We do not limit the line speeds, so if you can get 384k from your line, then that is what you have :)

I do not have a 384k line, so I will test on a 384k line this evening and post a speedtest.

This is bloody brilliant.
If only I didnt have to transfer my line (and be tied in - well sort off). Judging by the rate of new offers coming in, I wouldnt be surprised to see another ISP chop the price even further - then what - transfer my line back from SAOL!!!

Anyone know what is the wholesale price that ISP's receive their 384 lines for?

Maybe worthwhile for me to pay that difference (bet w/sale and retail) to SAOL just for the right to have the line in my name. And then I am more flexible.

I quite like the R249 deal. 50gb local plus line rental. Thats not bad at all.

OMG. SAOL just proves to everyone why I've been using you since the dial-up days... I'd gladly pay more for a proper 384k line than 256.

Speeds have always been great, but seeing the DigiChilli offer I really wanted to upgrade from 10gb to uncapped. You almost lost a customer but then I see you waited to spice up DigiChilli's spice:o

Uncapped at R347 is insane, and this 3 free months chance just added cream to the pudding...

can't believed I ever doubted you guys...

so... if you already have a line, can I take the uncapped for R347? I honestly don't like the idea of transfering my line over to SAOL! because that means they have me by the balls if I want to change to the next best offer!

After looking at this deal, Its very good, if you're looking for that cheaper deal!, but it fails badly on the fact that you HAVE to have a telkom line from SAOL!

However, I'd still like to see some decent speed tests, and get feedback from people on how reliable P2P is, and if all News Server access works via this account before I'd even consider SAOL again!

if I want to change to the next best offer!

IMO that is why South Africa's internet fails. People always look out for the best deals for THEM, and are not brand-loyal... Jumping around from ISP to ISP just to suit yourself will never help our market. If everyone jumps to DigiChilli then suddenly Intranets-Anonymous offers uncapped cheaper, everyone jumps to them DigiChilli will fail.

Ultimately we'll end up with another Telkom...

So your solution is to overpay for bandwidth in order to support companies that overcharge?. Good plan!
How about a system where everyone charges the same amount and the difference between them is their service, VASs, etc? I'd like to live in that world.
