I just wanted to check what the condition of eskom was and had the same experience :( Yesterday they said something about lacking 2000MW..
Power was off here since some time in the wee hours of the night until 8:30.

Does anybody know the cause of the current extreme load-shedding?

Maybe another bolt has come loose. Its Eskom - I don't think they need a reason to load shed. I think the BOFH works there....mmmm....who should we load shed today!! :D

Well Mr Eskom CEO your infrastructure (IT & power generation) is not adequate now if you get
R5million bonuses and a R900k/month salary.

Good planning , why are essential services like hospital services also put on load shedding ?
ie look at the recent drama at Frere Hospital in East London ?
Ok they had a problem with their generators, yes that was their problem

Heard it was because four generators tripped at power stations.

Ironic to see their own website's loadshedded itself :D

But it's getting on my nerves at this stage - lost a switch yesterday, we do have an UPS so this should not have happened...
