This is basically an app to release and renew the IP address on your pc with your router, so you don't have to open up a CMD window to do it, it works on XP and Vista.
Sometimes in Vista, after my connection drops for some reason, I get limited or no connectivity, I remember something similar in XP as well. This does not re-enable your internet, but it does allow you to get a new IP address from the DHCP server in the router. Sometimes even when PPP connection is active again Windows has a problem using the same IP, especially when you have DHCP.
All you do is open the exe, click the red button, wait 30 seconds to be sure the batch file completed and then you click the green button and wait another 15 seconds. If you see that you don't get a refreshed IP after about 30 seconds, click the green button again.
I tried running both batch files at the same time, but it seems either my pc is too slow, or it has something to do with my NIC that doesn't refresh so fast.
I hope you like it and let me know what I can do to improve it.
