Sorry guys I had no idea it was that bandwidth hungry (should have guessed though going by the load time ) Thanks for the zip ld13!

I cant believe the amount of games they spew out in a year. I don't think we see a quarter of them on our shelves here.
There's five of them I'm definitely getting even if I got to sell my grandmother to do it! *Sigh* There goes my social life.

The zip was my pleasure :)

What 5 games? Some of those games do look gooooood yes! By the way, some on that list don't ever get released or get pushed to the next year - this can clearly be seen when comparing that list with the 2007 one ;)

Can some one post a list of these uber cool games to come this year?

After removing the pictures the list with the names and a _little_ description underneath each one, still spans about 19 pages in word! No way one can post the list here.

I have uploaded the document for you to my uunet folder - same as the previous link posted above.

There a lot of games in there that I would love to try but only a few I would be prepared to part with my money for at this stage. Buying unknown titles from lesser known game developers could become a costly exercise. My 5 are:

1. Far Cry 2 - That's a no brainer
2. Chrome 2 - The AI in the first game absolutely sucked, but the graphics was excellent for its day and the story line wasn't too bad. I'm sure they have come a long way in improving the AI so it should be an awesome game.
3. Still Life 2 - I just finished playing the first one the other day. Blew me away.
4. Mirrors edge - There's a lot of excitement on the net over this game already. Looks like it's set to be a winner.
5. Alan Wake - same developers who made the Max Payne series. They have developed this game to take full advantage of quad core goodness :D
Unfortunately it is being made to run on Vista only.

Oh and for the 2009 titles who can pass up postal 3. That's going to be very worth the wait

Operation Flashpoint 2 ( I pray the game won't be sullied by console arcadeness )

Arma2 ( Can't be worse than the 1st)

Starcraft 2(Obviously)

BIA: HH ( If it actually comes out this year)

Ground Branch( Getting back to Rainbow six & Ghost Recon style goodness)

Enemy In Sight (Flashpoint style game from the makers of Mafia. I nearly wet myself when I heard about it)

Far Cry 2 (Hopefully optimized properly unlike most UBI games I've played)

Storm of War: Battle of Britain ( IL2 but with Spitfires )

Splinter Cell 5( not looking good but hoping for a miracle)

Those are the game I'm looking forward to. Games I'll seriously consider not waiting for them to come out as budget buys
