Telkom to reduce bandwidth costs

I'm paying more from next month for my adsl - what Hayward is spouting is an absolute LIE!.

Mugabe said he was willing to "negotiate terms".... Telkom said they are willing to "drop their prices"... same story, different day.

Dropping prices for business (PBO) but let the avg home user pick up the loss :(

I think there WILL be hurricanes and earthquakes in SA when Telkom drops their prices significantly :)

2 Megabits for R88 000 is a bargain? What am I missing here?

I suppose Jay Naidoo who concocted this whole TELKOM fiasco for the South African public will be happy now.
His BPO interests will a on the up and up, while the rest of the public still get shafted! Probably rolling in TELKOM shares as well. Hate is not a strong enough word.

Just look at the extent of the rip-off.
Is this 'chinese maths' Steve crawling out of a hole?

... And all their infastructure will get damaged, leading to prices being trippled to pay for 'slightly' fixed lines. Wait a minute, that's what we paying for at the moment isn't it?

i want telkom to a quick but painful death. I'll never belive anything they say

Except when they say to you "pay so much".............. then they mean every sent. ;)

There are such a continious stream of LIES coming our (the public) way it is best not to believe anything and when you see things happening........... look twice and start thinking. Years ago thinking was a new experience for a lot of people.... Now thinking can be dangerous for you. Very few people can actually do that these days :D

I believe they're talking about a continous 2mb stream, which translates to something like 8TB a year.

Business - always business!
Average Joe over here just gets raped and has to take it like a man - cos there is nothing else on offer... :o

Steven Hayward also says in the Business TImes 2008-07-11 under the heading "Telkom seeks to trim historically high prices" that
There are other things, like ADSL, which was around R600 to R 700 five years ago and is now R160."
Hows that for sickening? Cant we all demand that pricing as Telkoms managing executive said it was so?
Arrrgh. Lies lies and distortions. I wish Journos would wake up and take him to task on his patently ridiculous statements.

I have given up reading these type of articles. I just make my doubt conspicuos by mentioning it here.
