Starting to see more and more of these stories lately.
The population is definitely getting gatvol of the situation in this country and are starting to fight back more and more.

Much as it isn't nice to be happy about people dying, in this case it is good cos its too less barbarians on our streets, and hopefully its the start of a message to these less-than-savoury individuals in our society that crime will start costing alot more than it has in the past.

The loss of life may be sad, but these people were carrying firearms, so one can only assume they intended to use them. The dad is a hero!! And you are right, 2 less.

If this makes other crooks think twice then it was worth it.
Police recovered two firearms at the scene - one underneath the gunman's body and another on the driveway. A short while later the second gunman's body was found on Intake Road in Mariannhill.

"He had a gunshot wound to his abdomen and we suspect his body was dumped by his accomplices," Mbhele said.
Now all that's left is for the accomplices to get arrested. I hope these guys feel vrot because of their freind's deaths. This guy who defended his family did the right thing IMO.

Great news - another savage bites the dust.

I revel in every such death - I don't want my tax money going towards his upkeep in prison, that's if he can be held in prison seeing that all it takes is a few bucks for the prison warden and hes free.

just remember which goes one side will go other, soon we be hearing of robbers shooting people on first sight...

...but in rsa, your chances for survival increases if you shoots first.

It's long past that point Necuno, this happens frequently already. At least if you're armed you have SOME hope of saving yourself or a loved one.

They increase even more if you don't try hijack someone at all.

In France, the dad who saved his family would have been arrested and thrown to jail, because a burglar were murdered.
In France, Justice is on the bad guys side (that's why a lot of young people assault and car-jack other peoples without the fear to be arrested). But at least there are few murders in France. What about the SA's justice ? Will this dad be free ?

This country just seems more and more hopeless with every news article that comes out.

I hope they bring in some sort of capital punishment that makes these peices of **** scared.

Reading these kinds of stories makes me feel all warm and fuzzy early in the morning :) , Even though taking a life is not right but would the robbers think twice about taking yours?
I say keep these stories rolling!

no the only sad thing about this story is he didnt finish the okes in the polo

loss of life is sad but loss of rubbish is reason to celebrate with a staunch drink

Doing what the police are meant to do, but now even protecting himself and family he is up for murder. Its a no win situation.

He wasn't doing what the police are meant to do. I hope that we never have a sitaution where the police are meant to be shooting criminals. Their role is law enforcement, not to be executors.

The hijackers already take that role upon themselves! Unfortunately it is a case of fighting fire with fire.
