Hi guys, in a few weeks ill be starting my CCNA courses, a question: Will I be able to run the needed simulators like BOSON etc on Linux? Would Wine be a viable option? Or would it be more realistic to switch back to Windows?

Thanks

It should work fine in WINE.
Are you doing any practical work in a lab for your CCNA? If so, you don't need a sim at all. It's not that hard.

WMware Server and 'acquire' a Windows XP if the above mentioned methods fail.

You mean VMWare... Or rather try Virtualbox in that case. Works a lot better (from experience).

Silence!! Infidel, you are raining on my parade!!

*Cough* Good idea on the VirtualBox though. How does it handle .NET?

I recently did the Cisco ICND 1 & 2 courses as well as an MS Server 2003 course at Torque IT in Rivonia. If Pretoria is anything like the Rivonia branch, you're in very good hands. Enjoy it.
