Have any of you been informed of IS price increases by your ISP's?

Seems like they are increasing the prices on almost all products?

Anybody aware of this?

Business ADSL Satellite
Business ADSL Fibre
ADSL Express
Fibre Express
Fibre Express Plus
Access Plus

Hosting,VPN, VOIS, etc are all getting a price increase fro 1 Jan.
 
As I guess after living here 4 years:

"I hate this country"="welcome to south africa"="Don't worry, at least you're alive"="Who cares after 1000 years?"=... etc

:) Am I right?

Just got an email from my ISP that IS uncapped going up by R100 from 1 March. So much for all this new competition, and all these wonderful new undersea cables. Bleh.
 
Costs have spiralled this year, and I'm not surprised. Never mind inflation on top of that.
 
wonder how much the semi unshaped is going to be.....

The cables can't really affect pricing drastically before they're live can they? Nothing else has changed, except:

That's a pretty reasonable increase, everything else has gone up.

I suppose we have to understand Safricanomics. It's all supply and demand, as elsewhere, but with a twist:

1. Too little supply - push price up, as normal.
2. Too MUCH supply - push price up to compensate for those clients leaving you. OR dump the excess milk in the Vaal, problem solved, and stuff the starving millions.

They just won't get it, Sox, they just won't get it.... it is just so much easier for them to just say the country sucks...

They should move to America where your money is more at risk in a bank than it is left lying in the street! :)
