Help me choose my next contract, and device.

Hi all:).

I currently have two top up contracts - the Top Up 135s from Vodacom and Mychoice 75 from MTN.

The costs are as follows:
VC.........................: R144.50
MTN.......................: R102.00
Prepaid airtime for VC: R150.00
Total......................: R396.50

On the VC contract I got a Motorola Z6, and a Huawei E220 on the MTN contract [which was the reason I got the contract in the first place]. I top up the VC account with R150 more airtime, which I convert into a 1 GB data bundle and the balance is used on voice. The airtime on the MTN account is used for data at OOB rates [so basically wasted].

The MTN contract is coming up for renewal so, I'd like to take another top up contract with Vodacom instead. Then I can have voice exclusively on one contract and data on another. [Had some missed calls while my sim was in my E220 :o]

So I've got R102+R150=R252 to spare a month. Whats the best deals on top up out there at the moment? Something where I can still get the 1 Gig of data and perhaps a device as well:).

For R252 you wont be able to get a 1GB but 500MB if you want. With a Hauwei E270.

Yeah, I was looking at some deals online and the 1GB top up with modem comes to around R349. So maybe even if I have to go with something like a top up 275 and just top up the account.

The data top ups are a bit of a rip-off:

On a top up 275s you can get a Nokia 6120c live for free and the phone costs R2735 on prepaid. A Huawei E172 is R1851 on prepaid.

So on the data top up contracts, people are being fooled:sick:.

/maybe me can negotiate a swap on a top up 275 --> modem instead of phone :D.
 
I got the E172 on a Top Up 275s for free + R850 in vouchers :D:D:D

Just have to top up with R14 a month to get the 1GB bundles.

And that's the way it is done:D.
