I enjoyed the previous thread on the lenses we own so thought this might be a good idea as well.

Listing of stuff that are considered good value for money (not necessarily cheap)

I'll start:

Canon 50mm f1.8 lens (cheap lens, but razor sharp images)

Transcend flash card: Recent bought 2x8GB cards for R382 each. x133 speeds - perfect for my 400D

How many times do I have to tell people it is razor and tack sharp! :p

My eyes are not what they used to be. What is this blurry image of? Is it a 3D photo?

Another cool must have is an external usb card reader... I use the Transcend one which fits nicely in my camera bag (Rezo AW 170).

I should add that for Nikon shooters, the 18-200mm VR is pretty good from the shots I've seen and reviews out there.

Nikon 50mm f 1.8 D - Like all things Nikon, it's more expensive than the equivalent Canon, but its still pretty cheap for what you get.

Then your only real option as far as new lenses go is the Sigma 70-300mm APO. If you had a Canon body, I would have sold you mine for a good price.
