ADSL at R28.00 per gig for first 6 months

What I don't understand is why their 2GB price is more than 3 times that... Logic dictates that the per gig price should be, if not cheaper than, then at least twice the price of a 1GB... but no more...
 
Whats not half bad... I wonder what the connection and speed reliability is
 
I called about this for my inlaws - the r28 covers the 1gb . . . and thats it. You're still responsible for the copper and the adsl rental.
 
I'm guessing this is on a 12 month contract? And yeah, the 2gig option makes no sense :|

copper and connectivity is a given I suppose

Also says Unshaped/semi shaped after hours.

Wonder who the overall SP is? IS as they are touting fibre connection (for the backhaul?)

They say no contract, month to month but you will pay for the balance of this month up front, thereafter debit order
 
So i think i'm going to get this, just so that i have an extra 1GB international left over if my Mweb one runs out :)
 
Will they allow multiple accounts?
Like:
R28 x 3 = R84
Where 3Gb option = R149.00?

If this is allowed then I'll get a club card just for this, R84 for 3Gb international is dirt cheap.

Asked them that. Seems like one could. Well I phrased it in the way could I get each of my kids an account for their own use. Seems like you can
Somehow I think that this is aimed at the smaller home user, why else is a 1gig so much cheaper than a 2 or 3 gig account?
 
ill take a small bet this is at least a 12 month contract.....
 
Necuno, from what i can see i must agree.

12 month contract isn't tooo bad, although what happens after 6 months? You have to pay R55 a month, and by that time Seacom has landed and you can buy 1GB for R12 a month (i hope)

What does Edgars know that i don't?

Maybe they mean No Contract as in you don't need to fill one in to get the 12 month contract?
 
After 3 calls to Edgars I think I have all the necessary info
1) its an IS account
2) month to month with 1 calendar month notice (NO Contract)
3) aimed at the entry level user (1gig account)
4) discounted for 6 months thereafter one pays R55.00 per monthy
5) topup available at R55.00 per gig
6) one could signup for multiple accounts. Unsure if they have to be under separate names/billing details

Seems like a worthwhile deal for those who need a second account. Does eem to be the cheapest option overall

I've just phoned them on 0861232582 and they confirmed No Contract-month to month debit order.
