ACT Brumbies Super 14 rugby forward Shawn Mackay has died in a Durban hospital from injuries he received after being hit by a vehicle, team officials said on Monday.

Mackay, 26, died at about 0100 GMT, having suffered a cardiac arrest, a Brumbies spokesman said.

Very, very sad indeed! Rest in peace young man.

Heard on the morning news that he contracted an infection which lead to the heart attack...Shame it is sad.

What happened to the driver of the vehicle who hit him tho?

RIP.

Saw the club that he was hit in front of has now made some rules and moved the parking so the chance of this happening again would be less.
