can i create a vpn between sites with hamachi and using only local only bandwith?

Well I'm keen to give it a test![]()
A friend and myself tested LAN Bridger last night, and I can confirm that it does work with local-only bandwith. We tested CSS, CoD 4 and CoD 5 with only our local accounts only and it worked perfectly. We are still looking at CoD 5's zombie mode to get that working, but there doesn't appear to be a way thus far. For zombie mode it needs to connect via that game lobby, but it needs to authenticate internationally, but if we could perhaps get the IPs of the Demonware authentication servers, then we can add it to route sentry's route file and maybe bypass it perhaps.
I have tried to email Demonware (the company that wrote the middleware network software for CoD 5) to obtain those IPs, but I have no idea on how to get them otherwise...
Awesome! Thx for letting us know!
Will try and get Zombie mode working also and letting you know
But why would it need to connect internationally if you are hosting a LAN game and searching for a LAN game on the other PC?
Anyways, i think you could probably run an IP logger or something to log which IP's / Addresses are accessed and you can ping it if it's not an IP address to get the IP..
Will look into it more though,
thx
Cool man, no problem
I was also thinking the same thing, why would it want to authenticate anything internationally if you hosting a LAN game in the first place. One can also disable the whole Demonware logging in procedure with the /dwdisconnect command although it still didn't work. Even tried the LAN Fix v1.4 and didn't work either.
Please let me do know if you manage to get something right, my friend and myself will try again later today.. good thinking with that IP logger, will get one and see if we can find those authentication IPs.![]()
Can someone explain how to setup lan bridger, do you need to forward ports? It can't seem to find my internet ip address when I host and entering my ip manually doesn't seem to work either. Plus if click join network it asks you to select a profile?
Apologies for resurrecting an 8 month old thread, but anyone with experience using Lan Bridger on local only mind giving instructions on how to set it up?
