Enter *141*6# and send/call to get the new menu:
Please select data bundle type
1-Subscription bundles
2-Once-off bundles
Enter 2 and send/call to get the bundle size menu:
Please select data bundle size
1-10 MB (R10.00)
2-100 MB (R79.99)
3-350 MB (R168.99)
4-500 MB (R189)
5-1 GB (R289)
6-2 GB (R389)
Enter the number corresponding to your desired bundle size and send/call.

I tried *141*6*2# in order to get directly to the above menu, but got the message that I had insufficient airtime. I guess *141*6*2# still goes directly to purchase a 2GB bundle, as per this table.

been waiting for this forever so glad it can finally be done via USSD

Hi,
good news.
Developed basic USSD application for Linux, working with E160 and E169.
6 months of efforts ;)

Thanks ginggs.

Was playing around with USSD option yesterday while having breakfast trying to figure it out.
I ended up toying with *141*3# and got subscribed and once-off menus, but for music bundles :p :D

Now good to know that it's option 6 :D

Cheers bru!
Nice one! :)

Hi ginggs,

just tested USSD menu selection in one of new basic cell phones by Nokia
and express codes are supported.
Unfortunately menu selection didn't work.
Selecting 1, 2, 3, 9, 0 for menu options did nothing.

I was not aware Nokia is still manufacturing their phones without full USSD support.

That's how I figured it out too, MTN don't even list this menu on their website yet.

Ah well, maybe someone took note of the suggestion I made a year ago! :D

Hi,

are you really charged for sending the following USSD codes, express codes ?

"
A USSD session can either be forward or reverse billed:

* Most applications will be billed to your account, and you will be informed if the application is billed to the WASPs account.

You will be billed when:
o you initiate a USSD session
o You directly request a forward billed number

The WASP provider will be billed when:
o You select a menu option that is zero rated for you; the costs from when you select that option will be billed to the WASP owning the menu option.
