za Ubuntu mirror down?

Tried a couple of times to use apt to install software today but it came with errors regarding za.ubuntu not resolvable and can't be reached.

Is it down? Has there been a change recently?

I am on SAIX ADSL.

I changed to Main server (I assume US servers) and then it works.

Anyone else have problems?

the domain mirror.ac.za has mirrors for most of the major linux distros. accessed by distro.mirror.ac.za eg ubuntu.mirror.ac.za
 
I've just checked and the Tenet opensuse mirror is down.
Might be something to do with their switch to seacom.
I will call them during the day.
 
I have just contacted mirror.ac.za and they were unaware that the server was down. They have been very busy getting their Seacom link going, an it slipped behind the radar screen.
They will reset the server later this morning.

The mirror at Internet Solutions : ftp://ftp.is.co.za/mirror/ftp.ubuntu.com/ is operational
