So I have been reading more and more about these coolers and the reviews on the H50 seems to be very inconsistent to say the least. Has anyone come across and decent direct comparisons between these two coolers...? I'm trying to decide on a new cooler for my system but I cannot seem to decide.

I think what you might be seeing on the H50 results is the effect of bad case ventilation and people venting hot internal air through the radiator reducing the effectiveness of the radiator. The H50 apparently needs to be set up to pull cool air from outside the case, but one has to reverse some other fan to then pull the hot air out again.

Is that pure speculation or did you actually read the reviews?

So what in all honesty is the point of recommending it...?

But Ive read reviews where they have tried multiple configurations and the cooling was still not as good as some of the air coolers.

Yip, the H50 is designed to pull in air through the rear mesh not suck it out. I'm wondering if it's simply better to switch the fan polarity around.

You would need to blow cool air over the radiator attached to keep the liquid pumping through cool. switching the polarity would simply suck warm air inside the case over the radiator.

buy it now and you won't have to upgrade for a while plus you'll be able to clock quite high

Ya but for R2100 odd...? A bit much for now:)
EDIT: and what the hell is with all the revisions on the Thermalright 120 extremes....?

You better believe it....:D Now try and follow...

R2100?
ROFLMAO
Nobody uses Jump anymore? lol

The more revisions the better the True becomes.
FAIL :D

I have a Thermaltake all-copper heatpipe and fin cooler on my current CPU and I had to make up a bracket to make sure it doesn't stress out my motherboard. 800g is a bloody killer.
