Can you link to the full size image? Also, is it shot JPEG or RAW? Any work done on it?

Amusing to see that the development branch has been ported to the 50D - I wonder what it offers? ISO 25600? :D No that I expect that to be practical or even usable.
 
It was raw (duh) and, apart from what ever mojo aperture did on the way in, otherwise untouched by me.

IIRC the 40 and the 400 share much of the same pedigree - makes sense that they would just kill a few features to help justify the price difference.

It's a nice "upgrade" - bit of a pain not being able to format the card in camera though - unless you're near as PC so you can reload the hack.

I'd imagine that's a common problem. Doesn't CHDK include some code to do that? If it doesn't, surely someone has written a script for it?

A script to format the card in the camera? Dont think so.
 
I can do a batch delete on the camera but always heard that a format was the better option.
 
I'm sorry for the stupid question but once you're changed the firmware do you lose the format functionality on the camera itself?

No - the change isnt permanent either so once you remove the card it reverts back. :)
