WoW kills a poor little girl!

I can't believe it. Some chineese girl has been reported to have died after playing WoW for 7 days solid. "Snowly" as she was known in WoW must have some pretty impresive stamina to even make 7 days, it is like tantric WoW. They are having a online funeral for her as well, how ironic.

EDIT: She died about a month ago and the funeral has already taken place, but was marred by the fact that another WoW'er also met his fate from over-playing

That must of been the sickest Molten core run in the history of WoW.. Come on... nothing takes that long in the game.

I know I play a lot but dont feel so bad anymore. No offence to the departed either, but how can a game kill you? You killed yourself by being stupid and disobeying the laws of nature. ie: Eat, sleep, and ****.. even drug addicts remeber those now and then
 
Yeah, i feel sad this happend but in the end its the users fault not the games. By all means if you wanna play 24/7 not sleep not eat, bathroom etc, go ahead :p
I didnt see any subliminal msgs in WoW saying not too :p

Probably was not MC, and Deadmines ;)

I remember more scarey stories over Everquest 1 Addicts, and suicides....now that is scarey...

And then the next idiot took it over board and ended up drowning.. Its natures way of cleansing the gene pool by removing the idiots from the breeding cycle

No offence to any idiots out there

@ Scooby.. if you read the bottom of that article, They are already going to do that in China, its been planned for months now. I still say stuff that... Its my play time I can do what I want with it, Though I do remember to sleep once every 4 days :D
 
There are subliminal messages in WoW you just don't see them. I play WoW on my newly modified ZX-Spectrum with on board tape drive and over clocked to the max. I get a solid 1.7 Fps and I see those messages. You can't pull the wool over my eyes!

Why did you go to all that trouble man.. Get telkom ADSL you will also have 1.7 fps due to packet loss and can also see them
 
Hmmm... but ""days"" of playin computer, now don't get me wrong i have done at the most maybe 9 hours of playin games in one sitting, but days? Not even a lan session back in the day could get me to play for days on end... There is something wrong when u play for that long... Even i like to go out side from time to time.

I don't need Telkom. I have a large frisco can with string that attaches directly to the WoW server with a new Nescafe can on their side. I get minimal latency

Kind of like a telkom Reset of ADSL ... so you don't ADSL your life away ...

So telkom is there for our health
 
Forgot what MMORPG it was, but it had a msg ingame every hour telling you to go have a break...unfornately i cant remember which it was. All i do remember was it was a treadmill and i was not suprized it had those msgs!!

Maybe Final Fantasy Online?/Lineage 2? Long time ago :(

I think they tried this idea with the whole Rest XP rubbish.

Koreans and chinese so i have seen online are die hard gamers. Lineage 2 a Classic example. By far they ended up much more skilled than USA Guilds. They all seem to know each other oddly enough.
My guild m8 got harrased by some chinese farmer.... Called the rest of us to help him. 10 of us arrived....thinking this is enough....(being lvl 52 + or so was pretty high back then) Unfornately 5 mins later we had about 55 + Chinese players all around lvl 65 + around us.....Die hard :p
