Yes friend I am experiencing the wrath of the teklom, again, for the 900th time this year.

I can hardly do anything. Really annoying. Can't even connect to iTunes music store. Desperate Housewives will have to wait another night. Thanks Telkom.

vespax : You have an american credit card? Damn you :-)

56KBPS Revisited

International VERY slow...Since new pricing structures came out its been all downhill. Complained to them via email a few months ago about their adsl got a reply about 2 months later...typical...must be punishing me now

Anybody have access to the SAIX noticeboard where the faults are suppose to be logged? ISPs/anyone?

Yep. Have US card. We watch every week once Apple puts the new episode up on their site. The wife likes it. I have been downloading for 2 hours and have 3 megs complete out of about 200!!! Very slow.

Thedoc - I am working on episode 10 right now. Have all the others from the second season already. Thanks though.

I am also getting slow responses... and I need to pay my WOW account to play again.... bummer.

No worries, so how does this itunes store work, you get to watch DH online, for free?? Or?

Doc. You purchase it for US$ 1.99. 43 minute episode/no commercials. Then you download it from their site through iTunes. You then own the episode out right. Their are DRM's (Digital rights management) associated with the file, so you can only view it on like 10 computers. But I think if you burn it to disk and then reripe it, that clears away.

This is the beauty of iTunes. You own what you buy, unlike other services that you "rent" the songs. or stream things.

By the way, cruising along at 4.7 megs for the episode. Will be watching by Thrusday probably. Glad I pay so much for broadband with all this bandwidth I get! (sarcasism slightly used there. :) )

Vespec, one learns everyday - thanks for the tip, I dont mind paying for the content, great I am going to look into this and get it going.

What format is the video, and what is the total size?

Thanks once again..

aaargh - f'in Telkom. One thing is being overcharged for a premium, high-speed, reliable service. Being overcharged for this sack of **** is sickening. I can't get anywhere internationally ATM.
