Last week my bb 9700 started doing something strange. Whenever i was receiving calls or making calls i would hear this funny sort of buzzing sound. It would get really bad to the point where i wouldnt be able to hear properly.

I was planning on taking my phone to mtn, but i knew what that would say, "give us your phone and you will get it back in 3 months"

I cant live without my bb, so decided to google and see if there is a repair shop that would actually be able to help me quickly.

I found this site www.berryfix.co.za
Never heard of them before, but decided to call them and get some more info.

They sounded really professional and knew what they were doing. So i decided to give them a shot. i took my phone to them and they said i would get it back within 2 days.

Lo and behold, i got my phone the very next day, in perfect condition, sound all fixed. There was a problem with the speaker and they replaced it for me.

I must say that i am very impressed with their service and it seems that they do more than just fix blackberrys.

I wanted to post this here to let other bb users know that if ur in the same boat as me, u have an option.

I will be using them again in the future.

Hope this helps some of u guys.

Maybe after your warranty has expired but since I've always received a new phone back after mine has gone in for repairs it just doesn't seem worth it to me.

Granted its traumatic not having a bberry for a couple of weeks but why flush your two year warranty down the toilet?

Like i said, each to his own. This is just an alternative for people who want a quick repair. Some people, like me, would rather have their precious bb's fixed quickly instead of waiting for a new phone. This isnt intended for everyone. Last time i waited over 2 months just to get a new blackberry. I was stuck with no blackberry and mtn wouldnt even give me a temp phone.

Just btw, my phone still has a warranty, they were able to remove the sticker very carefully and place it back on after they repaired it. The phone doesnt even look like its been tampered with. If i ever need to make use of the warranty, i have no doubt i will still be able to.
