Proxy Issues

Hi all,

I work for the company which looks after the Squid box for WBS. This issue was reported to us at 13:00 today and was fixed by myself around 20:00.

We had some difficulty accessing the machine before 16:00 & subsequently it took me a while to spot the actual kernel parameters that needed tuning and to tune and tune them again until all was working right. :o The proxy server was disabled for some time today to minimise the impact on users.

Next year we will have the beginnings of a whole new department dedicated to taking special care of WBS & some other customers & I think you can expect better performance from us then. :) I apologise personally for the slow turnaround on this issue.

Best Regards,
elton!!

Okay, so if you had immediate access to the box the issue would have been resolved by 17:00. 4hrs? okay fair enough I guess.

Odd that you are running into TCP issues now? The load should be less this time of year?

These morning I was flying
But for the last 15min I see that most pages are chaced by the proxy server and my speeds have died:mad:

Anyone experincing proxy and speed issues?
