I went out on Friday and got myself the Aquagate-Mini water cooling system from Coolermaster. On Saturday I decided to install it but ran into a big problem. The kit comes with it's own back plate that needs to be installed on the back side of the motherboard. The problem is that the A8N32-SLI comes standard with it's own back plate which is glued to the motherboard. It's impossible to take it off.

In the end it took me two hours of work which included an angle grinder to finally get it installed on the board.

It might have been a mission to get on but it was totally worth it. Idle temp sits between 32 and 35 degrees. While load temp never exceeds 40. All this while being barely audible. I are happy. :)

PS: If anyone is thinking about doing the same. Drop me a PM and I'll explain what I did to get it installed.

Could you snap a few shots and post them? Would be very interested to see what your custom job looks like.

 Angle grinders and motherboards are not good chommies... one slip and your mobo's toast...

Glad to hear you've got it up and running without any leaks, tho... ;) :D

There's no real difference in looks. I had to grind the bracket that screws onto the heatsink a bit. I couldn't mount the motherboard in my box cause the screws were sticking out too far. So I had to grind them down as well, only I did that while the they were still screwed into the motherboard.

You have no idea how relieved I was when I pushed the on button and everything actually worked. :)
