Eskom’s not holding up SNO

ALEC Erwin, minister of public enterprises has dismissed as inaccurate a report that Eskom will not sell its telecoms arm, Esitel, to form the part of the backbone of the second national operator (SNO).

I vote that it's being referred to as the SNO is halted until it actually offers something more than bad news.

Seconded, we need a new acronym for this 'non' entity as well, something along the lines of FNS (First Non Starter)

 wtf is the problem here? They're licensed - they should have been operating on some level by now

Yes, after so many years of political posturing and delays one would be excused for thinking that they would hit the ground at least walking, if not running.

On a positive note, at least the process is still moving ahead, albeit at a disgustingly lethargic pace.

Alec Erwin...I remember this guy... he said Koeberg was sabotage...next day he said I was NOT sabotage, next day he said it was sabotage, then he said I never said it was sabotage... can he make up his mind about anything...

I bet tomorrow he says the report WAS accurate...

Bakore, when will you learn, maybe he should get smaller feet, at least then if he has his foot in his mouth he can still say things to the contrary..

What have you got at the end of the day?

cacklintoad: they (the SNO) haven't even chosen their name - unless they have now officially decided to go with SNOT
