Eassy promises seven-fold price cuts

Would be nice to have it. Especially before April, though that's a pipe dream.
 
just more talking ... I have read like a million things about how expensive it is and how prices should come down, yet I am still on 3 gig account!!!!! lots of rubbish and BS!
 
I guess this is where that old saying, "Don't always believe what you read" comes in. Guess they need to leanr that actions speak louder than words, cause it's getting awfully quite.
 
Theyr all talk and no-show. Put your cap/bandwidth where the money is. And deliver on the promises.. Maybe we might believe it then..

SA needs to offer 10gig international cap for around R200 for Broadband to have any use to consumers.

Reasons:
Most people use the internet either to send emails to friends/family (photo's, little movie clips or documents wich can get bulky)

Home users browse much more than any business/company ever will(more data flow for random webpages really.. specially if your looking for something specific)

Most webpages are flooded with huge pictures or Advertisements (pictures are bandwidth eaters)

Other than that, some users actually use the internet to chat with friends/family over Webcam/Streaming audio , or even just VOIP using apps like skype (And everyone knows Webcams/VOIP can use up alot of data in a short time )


So 10gigs is the bare minimum to put it mildly. And for affordability , even the cheapest ISP's ask around R500 for 10gig cap. *currently* It aint cheap.

So i was thinking the otherday about the whole cost of international becoming cheaper etc.. how is that gonna do anything to Telkoms profit? I mean sure they gonna loose sat-3 profit but when you already get 2/3 of the total adsl 3GB cost back in rental, heck add the rental 4mil people pay just to have a phone line and u begin to wonder what we can expect in april.. I mean if i pay right now R125 for 3GB and people speculate it droping to 25% or 14%, how big doesn't that rental suddenly look or will isp's start forcing minimum package sizes.

At the moment, only seven of the 23 nations involved in the project have signed the protocol agreement.
