I don't know whether it's me or what but as soon as I want to come to iBurst It starts having problems. So its like wherever i am theres a problem.:(

Stay clear from iBurst!

If you have the option of any other service provider, rather use their service before making use of iBurst - the iBurst service if unreliable and inconsistent.

If you don’t really need an internet connection that is always available you could consider it.

My choices are sentech and iBurst adsl is to complicated so its out of the Q....

If you only have the 2 choices then iburst is the only choice, but neither are reliable enough for business, maybe in time iburst will improve and if it does then it will be a good choice as long as the company running it gets itself together.

I'm probably gonna get shot for this, but I've never had a days problem with iBurst (except for the routine maintenance) Speeds have always been great, and the "soft cap" was probably the selling point for me.

I will be moving on the 1st of December to Fourways, and there seem to be some issues out there. I'm still trying to find out if my area is covered, because I would hate to have to cancel because I can't get signal

I also never had any problems until they started playing around with the towers, but since I need it for business I cannot rely on it anymore.

I like iBurst cos I don't have any cables running through the house + I can just unplug my modem and plug it into any pc or laptop.

Getting very good & consistant speeds - maybe the odd problem, but ADSL has it as well.

Think you made a good point here, every service has its own set of problems, moving to a different product isn't neccesarily going to sort you out.

As soon as I want to come to iBurst It starts having problems.

Only if you are in Cape Town or in busy parts of Joburg. The IBurst service is great for personal home use, but for business you should get ADSL.

Some people may tell you that it's unreliable, but those people only had a bad experience with IBurst.

Really, it's a great alternative to DSL since it's the same price and has added mobility. And as kingrob said, every company has their occasional problems.

ADSL is actually easier to install and run/maintain than either Sentech or iBurst btw

Stay away from the ADSL then. ;) Don't want it to get worse.

Don't think I agree with this. iBurst is basically plug and play, just have to setup your dial up account. ADSL it's totally out of your hands. When it doesn't work you have to contact Telkom. Most iBurst problems can be solved by the user.

I disagree. IBurst is wireless, and instant. Much easier to install and order. The modem only takes 24 hours to be delivered to your door. All you have to do then is plug it in, and surf!

24 lol you were lucky!

Is Iburst paying you for every post you make?

I agree with Sparky ZA - Iburst has never given me any problems. Also the soft cap is cool. Can leave the PC on 27/7 and download

Still very happy with Iburst performance and reliability. Seldom have problems.
