Well, I decided to port my contract from MTN to Vodacom (as it just suites me better to have a vodacom phone with a vodacom warranty that I can take to vodacare) and their package works out slightly better.
So, off we go to vodashop - contract was approved in minutes as was the port request (got a nice little sms). So we chose friday night as port night, and get the new staterpack and phone et al from vodacom on friday afternoon.
The vodacom phone started working on friday evening - so I though I was ported. Turned the old MTN phone off and moved along with my day. Friday night, everyone I saw told me that they couldn't get through to me.
This is what the case is: If someone calls from MTN, Cell-C or Telkom - it gets routed to the MTN phone (083375****), if someone dials my same number from Vodacom - it gets routed to my vodacom phone (083375****). I'm basically half ported. I can use both calls for outgoing, and my number (the same number) comes up in the other persons CLI.
My question is who do I phone to fix this? MTN has no idea, vodacom says phone MTN???
