Degraded access in Cape Town

Since yesterday I've experienced degraded access speeds, in the form of extended delays while browsing the web and retrieving mail (so unlikely to be proxy related). I mostly access international sites. Has anyone experienced the same issue? I'm in Green Point.

v3g? Any clarity on your side?

My first connect today gave terrible access speeds, so I re-connected and it seems fine for now (holding thumbs).

I gather this has something to do with the vodacom network thrombosis yesterday?
 
hi,

Just to let you know, Very bad HSDPA access in knysna, the USB modem light is constanly changing color for light blue to bue.

Started about 2 hours ago.

From brilliant access this morning.

any Ideas
 
No complaints really about data connection, it can't get any worse than it already is where I am in Randburg.

Now VC have erased my voice mailbox - I dial 121 and find out I don't exist. Phone customer care (read care less :mad:) and after more than two hours still no-one to speak to. How pathetic!

Anyone have the same problem? My contract is due for upgrade, but me thinks MNP to MTN looks pretty damn good at this stage!!! :p
 
Its been terrible since last night round 7pm. International time-outs and so forth.
