Hi Guys,

This program is brilliant ! OK, now I struggled a bit at first getting this thing working, but here's where I bumped my head to help others avoid wasting time !

OK, get RASPPPoE as required. Install the protocol, as advised. Now, if you haven't changed the number of WAN connection in the protocol to 2 yet, do it now. This usually requires a reboot to take affect. ( How to do this -> In Network Connections, right click on the device you installed RASPPPoE on, and select "Properties". Select "PPP over Ethernet Protocol", and click "Properties". Now click "Advanced" and change "Number of lines" from 1 to 2. Click "OK", "OK", and then you will need to reboot for the changes to take affect)

This is the NB part! Open your web browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox or whatever) type in your routers address. (Usually 10.0.0.2 on this router)
You will then have to enter your username and password (NOTE This is the ROUTER username and password, not ISP's username and password). Now that you are in, it should say "Telkom ADSL 5102G" in the top right hand corner. Find "Interface Setup" in the top row of links, click on it. Now click "Internet" which should appear just below Interface Setup. Look for "ISP:".Next to ISP, there are four option boxes. Select the one which says "Bridge Mode", and then make sure that "Encapsulation" below it reads "1483 Bridged IP LLC". Of course make sure the VPI and VCI are 8 and 35 respectively and that "ATM QoS" is on UBR, but this should be by default anyway. Click "Save" at the bottom, and close the browser window.

Now, you want to create two connections, so the following step will be done twice. First time, do either local or international, second time do the one that remains.
Go START, RUN type RASPPPOE. (*)Click 'Create a Dial-Up Connection for the selected Adapter'. Go to Network Connections (Start, Programs, Accesories, Communications, Network Connections OR Start, Settings, Right click on Network Connections, Open) Now, rename the Dial-Up connection. Go back to (*) and do it again for the other account. You have to create one, rename it and then create the other one otherwise RASPPPoE will want to overwrite the first one.

Now, dealing with each connection in turn, double-click the connection in "Network Connections". Enter your username and password making sure you check the box that saves the user name and password, and attempt connecting. If it works, great ! Now do the same for the other account. If both work, now you can install Route Sentry and put the local account under local and the international account under international.

Save changes and you should be sorted ! The most important parts of this are changing your router to bridge mode. I know RASPPPoE says that the router must be in bridge mode, but it took me a while to click and to figure out how to achieve this, even though it was so simple !

Hope this helps at least one person out there :)

NOTE: Users would normally see the ADSL light and the PPP light come on on the router when one was connected to your ISP, with RouteSentry installed and functioning, only the ADSL light will ever be on. IE the PPP light will stay off, even when connections exist. (I think this is beacause of Bridge Mode, but I'm not sure :))

It's possible to use the Router in router mode and still set it to still allow PPPoE connections by simply setting up the router as you usually would and selecting the PPPoE Relay checkbox in the WAN connection you configured. Useful for people who want a international connection for everybody on the LAN but also wants the ability to dial PPPoE sessions.
