In the central Pakistani city of Multan - skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq's home town - angry youths held a protest rally, chanted slogans against the Pakistan squad.

The Irish victory handed Pakistan their second straight defeat in the competition, following their 54-run loss to hosts West Indies last Tuesday.

The win also provisionally puts Ireland in the lead of Group D, with three points - one more than West Indies and two ahead of Zimbabwe (both have a match in hand) - leaving Pakistan at the bottom of the table with no points.

Kingston - Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer was found unconscious in his hotel room on Sunday and has been taken to hospital, Sky Sports News reported.

Woolmer, 58, had seen his team crash out of the World Cup on Saturday after a shock Group D defeat by Ireland at Sabina Park.

"We have taken Bob Woolmer to the hospital and he is in the emergency ward. We don't know anything more at the moment," Pakistan team media manager Pervez Mir told AFP.

Sky Sports reported that Woolmer was found at 10:45 local time (15:45GMT) on the floor of his hotel room unconscious and with signs of vomiting.

An ambulance took the 58-year-old Woolmer to the Kingston University Hospital.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to release a statement later on Sunday.

I don't think so, this is a quote from Bob W on BBC from after the match "I have said I am reluctant to continue in international cricket purely because of all the travelling but I will stay in cricket at a different level."

I am sorry, I know there is some reason you posted this, but I fail to see your point.
Explain please?

EDIT. Rik I think he was just responding to my statement. If he planned to stay in cricket in some small capacity then he obviously wouldn't have drugged himself. Who knows? But these bloody Paki supporters are so full of ****, it's just a game but they treat it more like a war or something. I'd like to see how small their faces are now.
