Telkom, BCX deal shot down

Nice scoop! Poor BCX since they've been in contact with Telkom it's only been uphill for them.

While I'm sure that both Telkodemonopolies and BCX are not happy campers after hearing this news, blocking the acquisition is IMO the only logical choice that the Competition Tribunal had available considering the mountain of evidence of Telkodemonopolies' monopolistic predatory behaviour in a market in dire need of competition.

Will be very interesting to read what the C.T. specifically cites as the reasons for its decision...
 
All this good telecoms news recently... I'm starting to feel like we actually have some hope, and we not just some washed up "3rd world" country

Good. More negative press for Telkom regarding anti-competitive practices. Hope the CT also mentions what a drain on the economy they are.

wonder if they were going to write the local cap software, sure Telcordia won't be doing it. watch out for an excuse in November


can just image what the CC wrote on their report card - DOES NOT PLAY WELL WITH OTHERS
 
How about they get the eNatis guys to write the cap software? That way it won't work half the time and when it does work, it will wait for 2 weeks before capping you.
