When choosing Telkoms Do Broadband option, do you still have the self-install option with a free modem, or do you only get a free modem with a contract?
 
How about some info on the best way to switch from "old style" line + cap to the bundled offers?

You get self install on the Telkom doBroadband setup, so you dont pay for installation. You will receive a free wifi modem if you sign a 24 months contract with doBroadband.
 
If you choose to go for Self Install on DoBroadband you also get a free router until the end of this month (August 07). Or you can sign a contract, but that would be a very bad idea :/
 
Looks like the hard cap numbers have changed on do2 and do3.
 
Yeah, I have not made mention of the relaxed capping in this thread, only in the main ISP thread. It does seem 2GB accounts are now being capped at 3GB and 3GB at 4.5GB

Extra Information:

Any capping rules that have made headlines in the past on the TelkomInternet accounts apply to these packages as well. At the time of writing the 1GB accounts will get hard capped at 1GB, 2GB hard capped at 4GB and 3GB accounts hard capped at 6GB

Ah, yes, I must be getting old :) Forget what I have written where. Im gonna start a August capping thread to see exactly what is happening this month.

Hi,

The best DSL package I've seen is 1-Price ADSL from Zazu (www.zazu.co.za), they start at like R99 a month! But they've got much better packages than they advertise on the website, just talk to them.

As far as I'm concerned, either way the whole DSL thing is expensive, has nobody discovered a cheaper alternative to DSL yet? I'm looking for something that I can use 500GBs a month and still be able to afford it, are there no decent uncapped packages? (With 4Mbps speed or something like that)
