I just switched back to Web Africa uncapped at the end of last month (issues with Afrihost) and I'm noticing facebook videos seem to be limited to 60kb/s which results in just enough buffering and stuttering to drive me insane. Twitch seems to have the same issue, but Vimeo and Youtube can max out my 5mb line no problem. Does anyone else have this issue? I remember it was one of the main reasons I moved from WA back to Afrihost a couple months back when I thought it was just a temporary network problem

Plan A.
Just register for some bandwidth with a different provider.
Authenticate router with this other ISP credentials.
Run test.
Tell us the results.
{You can compare like for like minutes apart}

Plan B.
Give me a link to a fb video you want me to test and I test for you.
Like for like testing is always good.

Best regards,

Used Afrihost 1gb account, zero buffering. Switched back to WA and same vids buffer every 0.5 seconds (seriously any video on facebook)

40Mbps VDSL line and I can predict when I will buffer on YouTube, I can replicate time and time again.

So definitely throttling during working hours.

And just plain k@k during 11pm - 3am like I say on WA it all buffers switch to immediately to Vox no issues full speed... Switch back immediately, same buffer and half line speeds and zero p2p

Gave up on uncapped years ago. Large cap accounts doesn't cost much more and work better imo.

literally throttled down to 15KB/s across everything including browsing right now. What the hell?

Being throttled an a business capped account tonight.

Hi LeafMuncher,

Can you PM me your account details so I can take a look. Need to see why your uncapped account is not performing so well.
