Fibre to the home.... awesome..

I love this part

When I try it out with my laptop I find I'm only getting around 22Mbps - but then I am using a wi-fi connection, which would curb the speed, and there is a high-definition television online using some of the bandwidth.

I pray we'll be saying this in 2010. Cmon Neotel, you're digging up every piece of tarmac around now make it count.

Guillaume is paying 14 Euros a month (around £10) for a 12Mbs connection and free phone calls. That's about half as much as I pay in London for something one sixth as fast.

We are being pomped into kingdom here. There are quite a few that I've read of that changed their poor broadband situation and turn it around COMPLETELY in a matter of a few years. I think we're next on that list, it's the first time I've ever seen so many roads being dug up and fibre being laid so it kinda gives me hope.
