Ordered do Broadband - got DSL up to 4 Mb + 3gb

Ordered do Broadband 3 last month, now my account shows the two separate products, which is obviously more expensive than the single do package. Can someone with a do package please look on their accounts?

1. Upgraded on 24 July and got charged a full R239 for 3gb. Imo, this is one single package and I should've been charged proportionally from the 24 July to 31 July on the old price, and then from the 1 Aug the new price.
2. Does your account say do Broadband level x, or does it also break it up in 2 components?

The problem with Telkom accounts is that you need a masters degree in Maths to figure them out when you change packages. What will happen is that you will probably find there are pro rata charges in there given you changed part way throught the month.

Its mostly because of the new rates that came into play on the 1st of August.

I thought the same thing when i ordered DoBroadband 3. They charged me for the ADSL line rental and ISP amount separately. It was not one amount like I was expecting. Another thing is that those amounts were the full amount with no discounted price. After a lot of calls and unnecessary struggles I found out that they give you a discount amount on another page of the bill. I think it is on the second page of the bill (it is NOT on the first page or the page that lists your ADSL rental, line rental or ISP amount) so just look for it. It is call "DoBroadband 3" discount, or something like that. I don't have a bill on me so am just doing this from memory, but it is there.

It should be just one amount and not all this confusing maths but then Telkom wouldn't be able to confuse their customers the way they do and steal all their money Plus if they make any mistakes, we won't know, because 99% of us don't understand whats going on.

(o and next month, if you have not made any changes this month, your bill should look a lot more on the normal side)
