No Virgin in Magaliesburg since Monday

I have had no conenctivity since late Monday night, spoke to Virgin, a most unproductive task, the girl I spoke to was very insistant that my PC/Modem/Settings etc were at fault as they had no 'problems' with GPRS, are these people even trained to recognise network problems or is their standard answer 'have you tried reinstalling your software'! When I first got my V360 to use as a modem they could not help me, got all my answers from this forum (to be fair, MTN was as useless when I bought a data card for my laptop). Put in my MTN card, logged onto this forum and discovered someone else is having problems. Made two calls to Virgin, no response yet.
Anyone else having trouble? I am in the Magaliesburg town area, close to Krugersdorp.
Come on Virgin, pull up your socks, train your phone operators and lets get some service you keep on blabbering on about in your ads.
 
Probably part and parcel of wider current VM problem

This is probably part of the wider current VM GPRS problem, covered in two other threads in this section. Magaliesberg is 'the other side of the hill' from where I am, near Buffelspoort Dam in NWP, and I have had no VM GPRS service (from the Nooitgedacht mast) for the past two days. So I wouldn't spend too much time tweaking your own settings right now, until VM gets its act together again!

Just to let everyone know that Fortune gave me a call and has promised to delve into the issue, if there are more people having hassles with GPRS in the area please let him know so this problem can be rapidly addressed.
 
36 hours and counting

A message for Fortune Ndlovu: we're into the third day now without connectivity, and good humour is now wearing thin. Can we please have some feedback on when the problem is likely to be resolved?

For the record, I'm in NWP, served by the Nooitgedacht mast. No problems with the signal, and connecting is fine -- but can't get any further than that: no e-mail connection to my ISP (Tiscali/MWeb), no web pages, nada!
 
Virgin and MTN

Hi, still no conenctivity with Virgin, and then to top it all this morning we struggled with MTN, so it would appear that the Nooitgedacht tower in our area is at fault. Have just bought a Vodacom sim and will see if that has any issues, after this I will go mad! To top it all Virgin Active called me this morning to see if I wanted to join their gym! Can you imagaine the answer they received!!!! My business relies heavily upon emails and quick responses and so far this week I have not been able to provide the service I should be offering to my clients.
